The Emerald Buddha amulets are made in the style of the Emerald Buddha statue found within the Royal Palace within the shrineroom of Wat Pra Gaew (Temple of the Emerald Buddha). The original statue is fashioned Pre Chiang Saen to Early Chiang Saen Era, estimated sometime around the year 500 BE. It was given the name Pra Putta Radtana Pan Mani Morakot.

The Emerald Buddha is considered the palladium of the Kingdom of Thailand. It is a figurine of the meditating Buddha seated in yogic posture, made of a semi-precious green stone (jade or jasper rather than emerald), clothed in gold, and about 26 inches (66 cm) tall.[4] It is housed in the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Pra Gaew) on the grounds of the Grand Palace in Bangkok (Wikipedia). It is considered to have healing qualities by Thai Buddhist People. Early in the Bangkok period, the Emerald Buddha used to be taken out of its temple and paraded in the streets to relieve the city and countryside of various calamities (such as plague and cholera).

The Emerald Buddha also marks the changing of the seasons in Thailand, with the king presiding over seasonal ceremonies. In a ritual held at the temple three times a year, the dress of the deity is changed at the start of each of the three seasons. The astrological dates for the ritual ceremonies, at the changing of the seasons, followed are in the first waning moon of the lunar calendar, months 4, 8 and 12 (around March, July, and November). Rama I initiated this ritual for the hot season and the rainy season; Rama III introduced the ritual for the winter season. The robes which adorn the image, represent those of monks and the king, depending on the season, an indication of its symbolic role “as Buddha and the King”, which role is also enjoined on the Thai king who formally dresses the Emerald Buddha image.

The costume change ritual is performed by the Thai king who is the most elevated master of ceremonies for all Buddhist rites. During the ceremony, the king first climbs up to the pedestal, cleans the image by wiping away any dust, and changes the gold headdress of the Emerald Buddha. The king then worships nearby while an attendant performs the elaborate ritual of changing garments. The king also sprays holy water upon his subjects waiting outside the ordination hall, a privilege previously afforded only to the princes and officials who were attending the ceremony inside the ubosoth (the shrineroom where Uposatha is held.

The proceeds from this edition will fund the reparations of the Uposatha Shrineroom at Wat Dtaban Satatam, and also to repair the Shrineroom and build a Sala Bprian study hall at the temple of Wat Phud Niam in Sri Saket, and the remaining proceeds will fund the building of a 9 meter high statue of Pra Sangkajjai Arahant, and Bathrooms at the small new forest temple of Samnak Songk Ban Jabok, in Surin

Luang Phu Khaw Haeng, of Wat Dtaban Satatam in Surin Thailand, was the ‘Sit Ek’ (top first lineage apprentice), of the Legendary ‘500 Year Old Monk’ Luang Phu Suang, ‘Tewada Len Din’. He has spent many years undiscovered, because he never boasted about being the lineage continuance of the great Arya Sangha Ong Suang (Luang Phu Suang). But it so happened that it slipped out in conversation as he told a story of Tudong forest wandering.

Luang Phu Khaw Haeng

As soon as it became apparent that this 122 year old monk was talking about the legenderay Immortal LP Suang, the word spread like wildfire far and wide. What also is notable about Luang Phu Khaw Haeng, is that his eccentric ways and character, are very similar to those of his Kroo Ba Ajarn Luang Phu Suang. He is known to remain without any material possessions at all, and to reject them, and to lie in the simplest and most sparse dwellings. He takes any things or money people give to him and gives it to those in need. If he cannot get rid of the money or possessions by giving them away, he throws them away. When he donates and makes merits with the money given to his temple, he always chants prayers, and speaks to the Celestial Devas, to tell them to send Blessings and Merits to those who donated the funds to him.

Presenting a very Uncommon Bucha Item to find in the present day, The Look Om Rahu OIm Jant Dtem Duang Plik Duang Chadta Gae Duang Chong Dtam Bad Bpao Aathan Chua Raay, Asura Deva Eclips God Powder Ball, from Luang Phu Waen Gaay. The Look Om Pra Rahu Bucha Size powder Ball is extremely rare for a collector to encounter, due to very few masters who produce Look Om in Bucha size, and the fact that a massive amount of Muan Sarn Sacred Powders are required to make one single Look Om in this size, which in turn means that only Masters who possess large repositories of powerful Muan Sarn are able to afford to create Look Om of this Grandeur.

This Jumbo Size Look Om Pra Rahu Om Jantr sacred powder ball, from Luang Phu Waen Gaay was blessed at Wat Pha Yeuy Prasat in Buriram, during The night of the full lunar eclipse (Rahu Om Jantr night) where the eclipse God swallows the moon entirely, on the 27th – 28th September 2558 BE. Luang Phu Waen Gaay performed a large number of incantations in Thai, Pali, and in Khmer.

The Sacred Powder Look Om is composed of a vast number of ingredients, mostly secret, deriving from herbal, mineral, Kaya Siddhi and other Magical Substances, mixed with Prai Oils, and with a Piece of Luang Phu’s Civara Rbe attached to seal with final blessing from this Great Agéd Master Monk of the Khmer Sorcery Tradition.

The Wishing Ball was made in two versions, some in smaller size  ‘Look Om Niramit Tewada Long Din is made using both Khmer and Thai Sorcery Empowerments, with Luang Phu Waen Gaay using a large collection of 108 Sacred Powders and Puttakun Powders collected from the Khmer Mountainous Region of Khao Gilen, and from Sacred Places in both Kampuchea and Thailand. Khao Gilen was a very sacred Place for the Ancient Khmer People, and is a place of Great Magical Power.

Luang Phu Waen Gaay Pantasaro empowered the Muan Sarn Ingredients, by grinding them up in his Mortar with the Sacred Pestle, and performed Incantations and Jhanic Empowerments non stop over the whole day and night without rest, until they were completely filled with power. He sent his mind up to the Celestial realms and Invited the Angelic Beings to come down to earth to witness the empowerment and add their blessings and empowerment to the amulets. This is not seen as a flaw, rather as a sign of authenticity and authenticity recognition. It is difficult to find these methods used in the modern era, and one can consider any addition of Amulets would use these methods to be an act of preservation, conserving the ancient methods and preserving the historical directory of Buddhist amulet making, which is now in, halfway through, its second millennium.

Especially in the Vietnam War, the Soldiers who had received Takrut from Ajarn Nong all came home safely without one single exception, and many returned with tales of miraculous escapes from death, attributed to the magic of Ajarn Nongs Takrut amulets.

Luang Phu Tuad 101 anniversary edition

There are so many tales of Devotees encountering Miracles and life saving magic, that the legend of his Takrut follow him like his own shadow.

The Takrut is contained within the classic design made famous by the originator of the wicha, Pra Ajarn Nong. The gold plated casing is engraved with patterned exterior, and has sinjana cord attached to the pendant hoop.

It is said that Ajarn Nong began to make and hand out Takrut Tone amulets around 2496 BE, which he would hand out to his close disciples. The very first Takrut were made from small sheet of Iron, and were small in size.

Some time later, some Looksit brought some gun shells to use for Takrut making. These Takrut were varied sizes depending on what kind of bullet shells were available. This edition gained much fame and legendary status for the many life saving tales from those who possessed one.

Blessing ceremony

Whenever the inventor or bringer of this Wicha, Luang Phu Nong of Wat Sai Khaw would hand out one of these Takrut, he would say ” this is for protection, if someone thinks to harm you, you, they will not be able to find you, and those who try to harm you, will encounter their own demise.

The Wicha Narai Plaeng Roop used for these Takrut, is an Ancient Wicha, which is mentioned in the Dtamra Saiyasart as being a Wicha which has immense power, like that of Pra Narai transforming.

Buddhist guru monks of the Luang Por Tuad lineage, performing blessings of amulets

It contains a multitude of different blessings. The Wicha of making a Takrut with the image of Pra Narai (The god Vishnu), is a Wicha which not many people know how to perform, which makes this type of Takrut extremely rare to find.

To perform the spell properly, it is necessary to Master the ‘Wicha Dtang Akarn 32′ and the ‘Wicha Riak Roop Riak Nam’, as is usual with all spells that use the image of a being, Himapant animal or Deity.

Below; The original Takrut Narai Plaeng Roop, from Pra Ajarn Nong (Wat Sai Khaw)

The original Takrut narai Plang Roop, from Pra Ajarn Nong (Wat Sai Khaw)

But it is much more difficult to force and contain a magical image of Pra Narai using incantation, than it is to contain and subdue a lower Deity or Himapant animal.

This is therefore the reason why there are hardly any Masters at all who can enforce this type of magic spell alone. The usual and more common method for applying this Wicha, is to use a Yant design which represents the basic principles of Pra Narai transforming, or to use a Kata instead. The image of Pra Narai is simply too powerful for most people to be able to control and force into the Takrut.

Ajarn Nong

Origins of the Takrut Narai Plaeng Roop

There is a story recorded in the Biography of Somdej Pra Puttajarn (Dto) Prohmrangsri (Wat Rakang Kositaram) written by Maha Amamat Praya Tip Gosaa (Ajarn Sorn Lohanant) and Pra Kroo Plad Maha Thaeranuwatra (Maha Pae).

The Biography was published to celebrate 200 years of the Ratanakosin Era. In the story it tells that, as King Rama 4 called upon Somdej Dto to accept a dignified status, Somdej Dto fled to the forest, and hid from the responsibility. He did not wish to have status, rather wished to be a simple monk.

His Majesty sent envoys out around the country to find Somdej Dto, but however hard they searched, he could not be found.

Somdej Dto used a Wicha to change his face so that those who knew him would not recognize him if the saw him, and he was only able to be found, because he presented himself to the Gamnan (Marshal) of Ban Phai, who took him then to Wat Po Chetupon. The wicha Somdej Dto used to change his appearance,is the Wicha Pra Narai Plaeng Roop.

The famous Ajarn Nong, who brought this particular Takrut Wicha to the World, would always tell his Looksit who received the Takrut Pra Narai Plaeng Roop, that they would be able to avoid dangers. The story of Somdej Dtos disappearance demonstrates the power of this Wicha, for it is much harder for a Nationally famous Monk whose portrait everyone knows to hide than a normal person, proving how the Wicha Narai Plaeng Roop can make even a well known face able to avoid being noticed.

Below; Pra Ajarn Nong of Wat Sai Khaw

Pra Ajarn Nong of Wat Sai Khaw

Legend tells that LP Nong received his special form of the Wicha Pra Narai Plaeng Roop one evening, as a tree spirit, who appeared to him, dressed as in ancient times in a red ‘Pha Sabai’ robe. She appeared in front of the pillars of the Kuti hut of Ajarn Nong, and showed him the Wicha for making Takrut Tone, how to make the Agkhara inscriptions and Kata incantations for empowering the Takrut with the Pra Narai Plaeng Roop spell. She then told him her name, which was ‘Mae Nang Jantr’.

He was told by the Mae Nang Jantr that she is a Deva who lives on the peak of Mount Kalakiree, and is related to Luang Por Sitti Chai, the ex Abbot of Wat Sai Khaw. He said that the Mae Nang Jantr Deva wanted to collaborate and join in to make Merit, by helping Ajarn Nong complete the building of his Kuti, and also to enable Ajarn Nong to become Abbot of Wat Sai Khaw. So she showed him how to master the Wicha Takrut When Ajarn Nong awoke from the Nimitta, he felt as if he had been speaking with a real person, and could remember every detail of the dream perfectly.

Ajarn Nong Thus believed everything that had occurred during his Nimitta Vision, including the fact that this Wicha for Takrut is authentic. The versions of Takrut Narai Plaeng Roop which were made with bullet shells, were usually also filled with sacred items.

Bullet Takrut Ajarn Nong

The main sacred item Ajarn Nong would insert into the Takrut, is a kind of wood called ‘Mai Luang Por Thuad’, which the Deva Mae Nang Jantr told Ajarn Nong how to find, and take from Mount Kalakiree.

No one except the inheritors of his lineage Wicha really knows what kind of wood it is, nor what it looks like, because Ajarn Nong would lay out a rule that it is forbidden to break the seal of a bullet Takrut and open it. If such a thing were to happen, the Takrut would be immediately ineffective and never again usable.
